Next Saturday’s practice (the 19th) is our mock competition. The mock competition is a great way for ALL dancers to be 100% prepared for competition the following week. We will have three judges critiquing and scoring each routine. The dancers will be announced as to when they will need to enter the floor, just as they will be at their real competition. The mock competition will be held at the DHS old gym from 8:00- 10:00 A.M.  The dancers hair and make up must be done before arriving to practice. Parents are invited to sit through this practice, however, please do not bring other children with you as it is a distraction to the students. Please remember that whenever we have a competition or performance, the dance class before it is MANDATORY, This includes mock competition.  TEAM DRESS CODE IS ALSO REQUIRED.

To compete, all dancers must be paid up to date with any payments that are due before our first competition NO LATER than the 21st. If you do not have a $0.00 balance you will not be able to compete. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We will be having a parents meeting the last 30 minutes of practice (5:00-5:30) on Wednesday the 23rd . We will be talking about everything you will need to know about competition: when to arrive, what time we will be performing, and when to meet in the dressing room before competing.  As well as answering any questions or concerns you may have. We will also be exchanging gifts with our “Encore Sister” at this practice! Please do not forget!

The dancers have been practicing so hard and their routines are looking great. GOOD LUCK at our first competition. Remember to do your best and ALWAYS have FUN!
